Is there a zink on the shaft of a P303 1983
When I hauled out there was no room for a zink on the prop shaft. I put one at the end of the shaft, conical shape.
Was thinking I should order a longer prop shaft.

Good Morning, Does anyone have a good source for motor mounts for a 1983 p303 13 HP yanmar diesel.
The engine is shacking like crazy Sometimes.

Does anyone have any info on dropping the rudder on a p303 1983
I have some play on the bottom bearing and would like to replace it soon.
any place for bearing parts ??

General Discussion / skegg repair

Good Morning, Just had my p303 hauled out, I hit a Large tree trunk in the beginning of the season. Now I can see the damage on the skegg.
What can I use to add about 1/8 of an inch filler to the part of the skegg that's missing. About 1/8 deep by 6" X 4" long
It looks like epoxy filler not glass. Everything else looks good Skegg done its job.

Good Morning, Does anyone have or had this problem ?
I have a 1983 P303 with a yamar 13hp diesel. When I start it [ Starts easy ] It run great. When I put it in gear the engine shakes a lot, than when I bring the RPM's up it stops. At 1st I through there was something stuck on the prop. When it stops I'm good to go went 14 hours with no problem.
Cutlass bearing was tight. When I checked it before it was put back in the water.
Any ideas of what I should look at.

General Discussion / mast foot bracket.

Good Morning, I'm trying to get some info on a part for a 1983 p303
At the bottom of the mast there's a bracket holding the mast onto the keel in the bilge area.  it seems rusted, anyone know it I can buy the replacement part or do I need to have it made ??
any info would help.
