Hull number location

Does anyone know the location of the builder's hull number for a Pearson 27? I'm referring to the number supplied by the builder, not the HIN, which of course is on the transom.

I believe the hull number is embedded within the HIN lumber, as you said, located on the transom. See link below, which covers the P27.

Thanks for the suggestion. The five digits in the HIN following the "PEA" are supposed to be the serial number. The PearsonYachts.org requests the hull number but limits the response to three digits. What I'll think I'll do is use the last three digits of the serial number.
Thanks again.

Good catch
- To accommodate all Pearson models the serial number field has been updated (in the database) to allow up to 5 digits for the serial number.
It is thought that the 5 digit serial number is the best way to identify boats in a particular Pearson fleet, since Hull numbers did not exist prior to 1972 - when Pearson had already been building production boats for over a decade. For example this is the builders plate for a 1967 Ensign that has no hull number on the transom:
