The only cabinet mod needed is to cut out the vertical post between the door under the sink and the engine access hatch.
Leave the engine attached to the motor mounts, and remove the screws holding the mounts onto the fiberglass rails. This will allow the engine to be slid forward enough to get a line on it and pick it up through the main hatch. Remove the manifold, alternator, and starter while the engine is in place to make the lift easier.
The attached pictures are of an A4 removal from a P323, but everything else should be the same. The key is to be able to slide it forward without lifting first.
