Hi Ginger.  I just joined the group as I'm interested in a shallow draft Pearson, such as a Vanguard.  Do you have any pictures of the boat that you can send?  I live in Pennsylvania so getting to the boat is a bit of a trip, so any information I can get about the condition of the boat would be very helpful.

P27 / Main sheet traveler

Hello all,
As of yesterday, I am the proud new owner of a 1987 P-27 hull #61.  I have a question regarding the Main sheet.  So my boat has the cabin top bridge traveler as all do, but it also has the main sheet (fiddle and cleat)? mounted to the cockpit bench right in front of the companionway. Is that a factory layout or something that was added by a previous owner?  I haven't seen any pictures of other p-27's with that setup. any comments or recommendations would be appreciated. I'll add a picture later today.

Yep that's about right.  I never had to use my tiller, but I put mine on facing aft and it clears everything.

P303 / 1983 303 traveler

Hey, I'm looking at a couple of 303s, and I like the 1983 with the traveler in the cockpit.

2 questions...
Is there some reason to stay away from that?
and
Has anyone installed a line-control traveler (which I assume will make it a lot easier to adjust)?

What brand is the track (I assume Shaeffer, but not sure).

On my 323 the freshwater pump diphragm is leaking.  Did it come with a certain brand and size, can you replace the diphragm?
