I need a section of rub rail to repair a break on my 1986 Pearson 28-2. Need at least a couple feet, but could always use more for future repairs. I think UPS shipping is fairly reasonable up to 8 feet. Can you help?

Does these sailing characteristics translate over to the P-32, what is the difference between the 32 & the 323?
I've only sailed my boat a couple times;  under main and under a # 2 in light air, no chance to develop any kind of feel for the boat. I'm so looking forward to getting out in the Bay and putting the boat through its paces!

Been told she's gets rolly-polly close to dead-down wind... great to have this performance feedback from owners!

I've done some research which has not uncovered much in the way of a Back-Stay tensionser/adjuster for a 80' Pearson 32 information. Looking for a replacement for a worn-out "STERN"- hydraulic rig. Back-stay is 3/16" rod and "pin to pin" is distance @ 36 ". Leaning towards mechanical (Cost),

Welcome recommendations! See attached for a Rig I put together. I've been made aware by smarter people than me that this design was not the most "safe or efficient" way to support or "tension" the rig on my boat.

Hey, It's my first boat...I know racing J29's, Olsen 30's I  could could put some serious bend in the stick with a rig like this. It was probably part of a "spit-bckstay with cascading blocks...

Deck Mounted Hardware / Cabin Top Winches

My 80 P-32 has a "unique" cabin top configuration, just forward of the mid-ships hatch and aft of the mast. A Reefing Line "Clutch with its own winch, then two additional winches Port and STBD, supposedly used for a "stay-sail" which I have. Anyone with this configuration? Have they used it for its original purpose, re-purposed the winches, or removed the winches and blocked-off the holes or added ventilation or something else ?

I see them taking up extra room for "Bay" sailing... thanks for any insight.

I got a free Renegade on Monday. I am the previous owner of a Newport 30 which I  lived on for 13 years. So I am not "new" to sailing, however it's been 30 years since I stepped on deck, and boy do I have questions. My boat came complete with trailer which I moved 108 miles to get to my home townin Southern Washington state. It does not look like the Renegade is meant to be a trailer sailer, so now I need to find a slip for it. As I said I have lots of questions. .looking forward to interfacing with the group

Geico wants a survey before renewal date on my '77 P323. Current premium is about $200/yr. Who knows what it'll be post survey if at all. Progressive will insure for about $300 no survey. Unknown whether they will require one in the future. I'd have to buy towing insurance if I go with Progressive. Can anyone relate?

This experience convinces me I need to replace original rigging on my '77 P323!  Freshwater boat used a few months a year but still. Maybe I'll replace original sails as well. Ha

One night mast pumping caused me to tie the whisker pole halyard to a bow cleat which got me through the night.

Good question. I bought a 15 yr old 11 ft Achilles last spring with a 15 hp 4 stroke yamaha. I was shocked at just how big that rig is once i got it home. No way i putting that on deck or hanging off the stern. I towed it last summer only on short jaunts.
