Title: Shower sump pump
Post by: jmcmonagle on December 08, 2016, 04:54:16 PM
Want to service the shower sump pump.
It works but makes lots of noise.
I'm not sure what make or model it is?
The only readable label on it is 16148-0000.
Looks a lot like this:

Photo is attached.
Anyone know what it is and/or what service kit to to purchase?

John

Since this is a low volume / low lift application, you may be better off simply replacing the pump with an inexpensive one.  The rebuild kits for bellows pumps can be pricey.  This was done in ours and it works fine.

Yes, as with Dolce_Vita, our boat has one of the inexpensive replacements.  It's been working for several years, just fine.

It's super easy to just replace that pump.

Can't seem to find that particular pump but this one is probably pretty close:

A little more expensive than the service kit for the old one but  probably better in the long run.
