Title: Pearson 23 Keel
Post by: philip on April 23, 2018, 10:48:58 AM
My Pearson 23 has a broken keel which I will need to replace? rebuild?
Reaching out to any that have faced the same dilemma.
Anyone with a Keel for sale?
Anyone constructed a keel and could share measurements and rebuilding tips?
I am on the hard and ready to start!!!
Thanks.

Hi

not dieectly resposive, but my P 26 (1870 hull # 165) keel bolts/nots are rusty & appear to be rysting thin.

We have thought about  sistering in some new bots into the keel, but not sure of how & how deep we would drill into the Keel--or conversely, drill a hole into the keel, set an inverted bolt & then put on a washer & nut.

All insights & suggestions welcome.

I dont have the measurements for you but do you have a picture of how the cable that raises the swing keep is attached to the keel?  The hardware is missing on mine and Im trying to figure out what i need.  I have a 23 also.
