Where can I buy a custom made winter cover for my Pearson 323. Chicago winters have snow ice etc.

The bottom of my Wind & Spirit is painted each spring. In the Chicago yacht yards that is how it is done. Is there any reason the bottom should not be painted in the fall?

Has anyone been hit with lightning on P323? About a year ago AnaMeg asked but no one replied. Does lightning have a straight path down the mast to the iron mass in the keel? What happens if we get hit by lightning?

My bilge pump leaves 1 1/2 inches of water in the bilge. Is that common and necessary. A dry bilge or bilge with less water would be better.
