Title: Coming Home...
Post by: Frayed Knot on October 17, 2013, 11:33:49 AM
Coming home Monday 10/14/2013 to Little River, S.C..   We were in Murrells Inlet, S.C. which is only 30 miles South East.  We had North East winds @ 20 to 25 knots with gust up to 30.  The seas were 6 to 8 with a few 10’s.  Not the best of conditions but we need to get home.  My father (90) and my son (22) leave at 11:00 am Monday and we get to our dock at 1:00 am Tuesday.  What I am boasting about is that Frayed Knot is a solid boat, my dad and son are fearless and I was glad to get to the dock.  We had to sail 64 miles to get 30 and were hitting up to 8.1 knots with the second reef in,  WHAT A GREAT SAIL.    I have a few video’s I will try to add them.

My dad calls me Tuesday and ask when are we going again.  He tells me that sailing has made him live longer and his mind and body needs a sailing fix ounce in while.  So when are we going?

I would love to see the videos. you might try to put them on You tube and send us the link. Those sailing Experiences are always more fun to talk about after your reach the dock. Great Story about your Dad. That will be a life long great memory for both you and your son. Fair winds
