Engine and Drive Train / Using a 13Hp motor on a P26,

I'm a new owner of a 1974 P26 in Milwaukee WI.  Shopping around for an outboard with an electric start, since the +12yr old Merc 9.9 doesn't always like to start.  Found a used Yamaha 13HP long shaft with electric start though looking for advice if this would fit in the transom area tipped up, or any concern about weight and overpowering the motor mounting transom.  The new motor is 125 lbs where the 9.9Hp is only 84 lbs.  Appreciate any experience you can share.
