Not sure what the base is but yes, Replace with only LED bulbs. standard OEM bulb is 35 watt and 2nm distance.. In my opinion a wast of battery power.
NOTE:  Take the unit apart and clean it well.  They don't make them anymore.  You can purchase a new one and replace the lense red-green but, if yours is like mine it is the base that clamps around the railing. Hope this helps!

Chuck!  Not sure what you have as a shaft Dia.& Length!  However, if you install a dampener it will give you about 1inch more from the bearing to the prop.
So here's my questions to you
1. What engine is installed?.  Should be Yanmar 2GMF
2.  Please validate the engine is mounted in it's proper placement. If they moved or did a re-drill holes for new motor mounts, it could be they moved the engine 1 inch or so towards the bow.  Please take some pictures and post here.
or PM me with your contact info.

P303 / Re: 303 cutless bearing replace
« on: February 13, 2023, 12:53:22 AM »
If you still need info contact me thanks! Capt. Rob
The bearing should be part name "BAIL" and yes remove the shaft first and the cutlass bearing with a hose. Get a pipe 3/8 inch. larger than the "Shaft" but not more than the dia of outside the bearing. use this pipe to knock out the old bearing from the inside if needed. The bearing has two set-screws 1 on each side L & R of the opening.
Install your new bearing and insert the shaft with the prop. reconnect inside cutless and boot.  Note:  I install a set-caller before connecting back to the coupler. to prevent the shaft and prop from leaving or pulling out all the way!
Hope this helps!
Capt. Rob
Update: saw my box and the part number is "BAIL" and not BEAR..

Mast and Spar Issues / Re: New mast step
« on: February 07, 2021, 01:44:31 AM »
Guy's, Guy's   Put an aluminum BLOCK witch makes the mast step higher up about 3-4 inches, then install the mast step that's now out of the bilge water.  Now your mast won't corrode and not to say..last longer  Capt Rob
