« Last post by Valor on May 24, 2022, 09:01:37 AM »
Hi everyone,

Just returned from a sail to Block Island. Great sail. I only had 1 casualty,  the mast bail for the boom vang was forcefully removed from the mast without prejudice by the 30 knot gust that smashed us. It literally ripped right off the boat.

Figured now would be the time for a rigid vang. I see many of you have installed them. My question is which model Garhauer vang did you guys get? Some of you have mentioned making the spring stronger? Any input would be helpful. Thanks.

Well, here I am two years later, and a new Electra owner, hull #250. Anyone else? Anyone?
For Sale and Wanted / Pearson Electra sails

Hi, I just purchased  Electra hull #250. She's in pretty good shape. I am in the process of repainting  her insides, and intend to refinisher her coamings. She came with what looks to possibly be the original mainsail, which is shot. I wondered if anyone had a serviceable used one they'd like to sell.
For Sale and Wanted / Wanted P-35 yawl mizzen

I am looking for a replacement mizzen mast and mizzen boom that would fit a P-35 yawl.
If you have one or know of one, please let me know.

P530 / Points of attention when buying a P530
« Last post by Sikko on May 16, 2022, 09:22:51 AM »
I wonder if there are known special problems with the this type of boat. At the moment I am interested in one which is for sale. But it would be of great help if there is a list of known problems. I own a 365 and at that time this forum was a great help, although I did find a issue at the mizzen mast where the support is rotten because the hole for the antennas and radar let water true. which did its damaging work.
General Discussion / Any P-35 Yawl owners out there?
« Last post by ramron67 on May 16, 2022, 09:03:30 AM »

I have P-35, #373.
It was originally set up as a yawl, but at some point in its history the mizzen was removed, and it is now a sloop with a slightly shorter boom than the other P-35 sloops.

I am considering putting the mizzen back on the boat, and I would like to hear from other P-35 Yawl owners.
Also, if you have an old mizzen that you want to get rid of, I would also be interested.
