Deck Mounted Hardware / Pearson Logo on cabin house
« on: April 29, 2014, 12:29:39 AM »
Hello, Would any of you have a good Pearson 323 logo on your cabin house that you could photograph for me?  I would like to have mine redone and with electronic printing to vinyl being what it is; if I can get a good photograph I can get a good replica.
Please let me know if you can accomodate.
Thanks,
Lauri

Plumbing and Galley Systems / Kracor R 120 Black Water Tank
« on: August 27, 2012, 12:59:24 PM »
Greetings !
It's a Great summer for Sailing on Lake Michigan but with the lack of snow in winter and rain in summer we are running short on the lake... but that's another story.

I am looking to learn more about the black water tank on Chelsea.  It is a Kracor R 12 or R 120 tank that has a filter for "clear water" to go back for head flushing.  There is a water fill next to the waste tank port on the starboard side by the stanchion.

Does anyone have experience with the type of tank mentioned?  How do you service it?  I had a great growth of stuff in it, have pumped it out, flushed it out and now have no water for flushing... I tried talking with Kracor (Milwaukee, WI) and they have no one with enough experience on the job to help me out.  (The tanks too old) according to customer service.

Any information is appreciated.

Plumbing and Galley Systems / Using Alcohol Stove
« on: December 28, 2011, 03:53:50 PM »
Do you have experience with alcohol stoves ?  I have one and wonder which works best for use on this type of heat: a thick bottomed pot/pan or a thin bottomed one?  I want to make the best use of the heat and cook in the least amount of time.  The boats on the hard 200 miles away so it's not easy to test one theory over another.  I'm looking for your experience.
Thanks in advance.

Standing & Running Rigging and Fitting/Tuning / halyards
« on: October 15, 2011, 07:33:36 PM »
My 323 has rope/wire halyards.  The wire is showing some fraying where it attaches to the rope section.

Has anyone replaced them with all rope halyards?  Do the sheaves on top of the mast support rope all the way through without having to be replaced?

I look forward to responses.
Thank you
