Title: NOAA Charts
Post by: Rusty Pelican on November 06, 2013, 09:50:58 AM
The US Government announced awhile back that it would no longer print navigational charts after April as a cost-saving measure, but don’t run to your favorite Print On Demand retailer just yet, because you can now download pretty much every navigational chart in the NOAA catalog for free – at least for 3 months.

Thanks for this resource - I have been using their bookletcharts for some time - convenient for short cruises - but these seem to be the full-size variety.

Wish I had access to a full-size plotter!

:) Funny guy!  Just imagining myself with a map stapled and taped together, wind blowing, trying to work out where I am while it falls apart in my hands...yeah, that would work really well.

Fingers crossed I lever lose the GPS!
