Title: New Member - Hoping to be Owner
Post by: brianm on October 21, 2020, 05:41:24 PM
Hi all,

"Middling" sailing resume acquired over many years but always on someone else's boat or as a bareboat charter.  Now getting serious about a '70s Pearson.  I will update as victory (or failure) progress.

I'm a EE by background and also a fan of "Sailing Uma" (comments elsewhere).  I have some (ever expanding) knowledge of alternative energy including solar, tidal, hydrogen so will try to contribute where I can.  At least until I can discuss what is wrong with MY boat.

Based on the west coast.

Past experience with Rival 34, Tartan 41, many types of Catalina, Aloha 32, Pearson 53, O'Day 39 (and dinghys).

Welcome!  You will find lots of Pearson info here and lots of friendly folks willing to help.

In addition to being a Pearson owner, I'm also an EE and a follower of Sailing Uma, so we have a few points in common.

Again, welcome, and good luck with your purchace!

Welcome, BrianM.

I am on my second P323, this one is Hull Number 139, my prior was number 230. She had a series of unfortunate events that led to my selling her two years ago. I looked at several other boats but kept being drawn back to the P323. It's a great boat. I wish you much luck with your purchase.

All the best,

Greg Zano

Friday!  Haul and inspection scheduled for Monday, report back end of day Wednesday.  Offer expires next Friday so only seven days to "thumbs up" or "thumbs down".
Gulp!
