Title: Replacing the shore power receptacle
Post by: SailRxSin on June 18, 2020, 01:17:06 PM
Newbie question here so if this seems silly, just bear with me.  I need to change out the male shore power receptacle.  Do I need to disconnect the batteries to prevent getting shocked when doing this?

I wouldn't think so as it is a completely different system...AC vs DC :)  I know on my boat I wouldn't need to.

If you have a built-in Inverter get some expert help. An inverter can shock you with the shore power cord disconnected.
