Sounds like a great solution. I'll reach out to a local stainless fabricator and check out this option. Good suggestion to take a mold, along with the existing legs.

Planning to grab a photo when I'm on the boat tomorrow. Also, my lack of metal expertise is likely showing, as on further thought, cast iron in the bilge of a boat would likely be a pile of rust. Will need to figure out what type of alloy if welding is an option. Or perhaps someone knows of a source to find a replacement. Stay tuned for photo...

Interior Structures / Salon Table base

I'm looking for some suggestions to repair the base supports for the salon table on my P34. Mine has failed and I'm trying to zero in on a replacement or an approach to repair them. It appears the base is cast iron (I am no metal specialist, but this would be my guess) and has cracked and completely failed, the second has a corner broken off. This is the bracket which supports the stainless (??) tube, which is one of two supporting table legs. My guess this would be a common issue, as the metal which the base is made of appears to be of minimal strength. Not sure if anyone has fabricated a more robust fixture, or an alternate approach. All suggestions gratefully accepted!! It's a nice table when it's actually standing in place.....
