Title: New 28-2 owners
Post by: MLuxton on March 27, 2019, 02:10:34 PM
My wife and I just purchased our first sailboat.  She's a 1986 Pearson 28-2 hull # 133.  We sail in southwest Missouri and are looking forward to forming many good family memories aboard her.

Congratulations! My wife and I just purchased an ‘86 28-2 today. Nice boat, isn’t it. I love everything about it. So far. We are in Lake Pend Oriell, ID.

Hi,
I'm the new owner of Arabella, hull #109, a 1986 Pearson 28-2. I sail out of Port Washington, NY, on the north shore of Long Island. I've been sailing on her as crew for the last four years, and the previous owner made me an offer I couldn't refuse. Looking forward to making a lot of memories.

Hi, Pearson 28-2 owners! My wife and I acquired a 1987 Pearson 28-2, Hull No. PEA80200E687, in excellent shape. Zazen had been in covered storage for 13 years. The gentleman who sold it to us did some restoration, but she still needed some work. The Yanmar 2GM20F needed some cleaning, change of hoses, belts, oil, and filters, and runs very well. I had to repack the propeller shaft gland and change the packing hose over the winter while in dry dock. Some of the lines had to be replaced, and some of the rope clutches' handles replaced. After almost a year of restoration and repairs, we took her out to the Long Island Sound, and she sails beautifully. We'll be going out this weekend, weather permitting.
