We recently purchased a 1986 pearson 33-2 with a swing centerboard.  What is unclear to us, if the centerboard is retracted can the boat rest on the centerboard opening when out of the water?  I have done some searching and have not found an answer to this.

Looking for any information on servicing the swing keel on a 1987 P33-SL.
