'63 Vanguard New to the site
« on: May 08, 2020, 05:06:54 PM »
Starchild is a 1963 Pearson Vanguard masthead sloop hull #8 with mostly original equipment in good condition. Thinking about doing some upgrades and was looking for a parts source when I stumbled across this site. My name is David, nice to meet anyone here.

Thank you guys for the warm welcome. She needs a lot of work, it looks like the cabin sole is the target that way I can get to things below and establish a workable platform for things above. Right now there's a few access panels that provide I suppose would be the standard access to the bilge. The structure itself is pretty sound but the flooring has rotted in a couple of places along with the substrate immediately under those areas. Rather than piecemealing the floor back together which is what my lazy body really wants to do my not so lazy mind is telling me to do the job correctly because I know I'm going to enjoy being in a clean place that's not just rigged up. I'll post some pictures when I get back down to the boat, thank you all!
