Pearson 36 to 42 for Long Distance Short Handed Cruising
« on: July 05, 2020, 03:12:15 PM »
Hi Everyone

Pearsons seem to be a solid boat for cruising at a great price. I am looking at a 365 Ketch, 367 cutter, 39-2 or a 424 to cruise long term and live aboard. I am asking all the owners that have a pearson if these boats are good for this purpose. What are the drawbacks with each that you have experienced. My goal to to sail the Bahamas then bounce don to Grenada, across to the ABC islands and then the SAN Blas. From there hop off to the Pacific, Galapagos and further. Can these boats handle the rigors of Ocean sailing? I have been focused toward the 39-2 for the room of a larger boat and of course the speed to log those miles each day. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Thank You
Sonny.
