Pearson 36-2 engine corrosion.
« on: April 04, 2020, 03:12:15 PM »
My Yanmar engine and everything in the compartment on my 36-2 suffers from chronic corrosion. I cant determine if the cause is electrical or something else. For example, the 2 year old Racor fuel/water separator/primary filter, has lost all its paint. There is no conductive path between this and the engine. A mechanic suggested condensation and recommended running the bilge blower and leaving the compartment doors open when running and afterwards till the engine cooled, (very annoying ) but we couldn't detect any difference. Any one else have this issue? 1985, Yanmar 3HM35F.
