Question
« on: December 25, 2019, 08:10:04 PM »
Hello,
We are brand new to the sailing world and just purchased hull 353!  We are definitely novices to learning sailboat systems and will have many questions that will seem silly to most of you.  First question: There is a 12V receptor just aft of the Mars in the salon.   The wires go back to the bilge area but I lost it there.  Anyone else have this or a clue as to what it might control?  I’m trying to upload a picture but reducing the file size is a royal pain on the iPad.

Thanks,
Skipper

Sincerely,

Hi

Sounds like a previous owner added the 12v receptacle to power something, who know what. Maybe a 12v TV or a spotlight or a phone charger. Most likely it goes to the electrical panel or maybe directly to a battery.  Is it live ? Can you plug in a phone charger?
