Received the following message, asking to post on the website:

Hello
Just wanted to pass on a company that you should put on your website called Flying Dutchman out of Salem Oregon. They were able to re-build my MD11 water pump $700, as these are non existent for new replacement.

You got ripped off. $700 for a rebuild? Crazy!
A rebuild kit is around $150
New pump $300+

You have your pumps confused-I am talking about the FRESH WATER PUMP that the serpentine belt attaches to on the MD11 2 cylinder diesel engine...... This pump is no longer available from Volvo Penta.....

I updated the Subject to "Fresh Water Pump", to try and clarify the terminology. The larger pump is referred to as the "Circulation Pump" and the smaller pump seems to be referred to by many names: seawater, raw water, or impeller pump. Attached is an image of the MD11C from Volvo Online, where I have highlighted what I believe to be the fresh water "Circulation Pump" on the front of the engine in yellow, and the "Seawater Pump" on the rear of the engine in blue.
