8 gal ? Holding tank on 33-2 & other questions
« on: July 13, 2021, 10:24:52 AM »
Hello Members,

My wife and I are the new caretakers of Trilogy, a 1986 P 33-2 with the k/CB hull.   We plan to cruise SW Florida next winter and would like to prepare for that adventure prior to launching the boat.  Complication:  us in PA, Trilogy in FL.

(1)  What modifications have owners made to increase the holding tank capacity?  There seems to be room in the port locker for me to move the water heater aft and place a larger waste tank in that locker.  That would allow for relatively simple modification of the existing waste lines.

(2)  The centerboard mechanism moves the CB from fully retracted to fully lowered within about 2 feet of line movement on the cabin top.  Is that normal ?

(3)  We are considering adding two flexible solar panels on the bimini top.  How have you added solar panels to your 33-2?

We are DIY sailboaters, but do not hesitate to review suggestions from others.  Thanks.

I have a 323 and I did mine last year with a custom 40 gal waste tank.  I know it's a different boat, but maybe you can get some idea's from my post.
