Looks like I have decided to bin the old MD11c in favor of a new Beta diesel. I understand that the Walter v-drive may not mate up. Has anyone, or do you know of anyone who has fashioned an adapter so the Walter unit can be used. Or am I going to have to go with the Hirsch unit?

I think I read somewhere that  that beta has a way to attach to a walter v drive.
I think it's pretty new.
My certainty on this is not that high :-(
I'd talk to Beta and Walter about it.

If you could find that, I'd be forever grateful. The mechanic in my marina has been vetting sites and other mechanics for pointers. I also know he has talked to Beta. You might save him some headache.

Ok, MD 11C coming out this week, to have a new Beta 25 installed. I will be parting out the Volvo. Barrels are weeping. Suspect cracks in water jacket. Everything else fine. Transmission was rebuilt a couple of years ago with all ne Volvo parts. Shifts like butter. Walter V Drive like new. Everything else on motor was rebuilt ten years ago by previous owner.
