MD11c Parts
rbrtfeld:
That is a good question, I had a situation a couple of years ago that one day when I started my MD 11 no water passed. I could not figure out what happened. I started fearing the worst when It came to me to remove the Thermostat and start the motor just to see if that changed anything. To my relief Water passed very freely, so i just put in a new Thermostat
that day and my motor works perfect to this day. The old Thermostat had a little corrosion on it, so now I just change it about once a year. Worst case it makes me feel better, Ha ha. I have been thinking about a re-power some day but for now she runs OK. Just circled Catalina Island last month and motored about 10 hours of the trip. First time in a long time the Motor was used for an extended period. Not saying anyone should replace the Thermostat like I do but it works for me. Fair winds.
