MD11c water leak.
Bill1188:
Anyone out there pull an MD 11c apart, or know of a knowledgable mechanic who works on them? On the intake/exhaust side of the engine, there is a tube that runs from bottom of block to head between the two cylinders. Mine is weeping water. Can't find a replacement, but could probably get one made. Anyone know how to get this out. Does one or both heads have to be removed to do this. Can't find any posts on this anywhere.
Sanctuary:
The water pipe is part of the exhaust manifold. 8 bolts, 2 gaskets. You can have a machine shop cut a 3/8 NPT close nipple to press in as a replacement or tap the manifold for 3/8 NPT and use a pipe tee fitting and then use 5/8 heater hose or use 1/2" NPT and use 3/4" heater hose.
