Photo Gallery

OZ:
is there a place for photos?  I did not see an obvious place to upload photos or search for picts of other restored vessels except inside of some threads.

Captain Bri:
I replaced the clunky photo gallery on the website with the gallery software package Coppermine. This is another open source program that will complement our forum with the same theme and (eventually) support the same user names.

I created albums for all of the boat owners who have contributed over the years and it is 54 albums of photos (read/only for phase 1). It provides thumbnails, slideshows, and full size images with the same look and feel of our forum.  Stay tuned for phase 2 which will allow user updates.

Dolce_Vita:
Outstanding!  This is sometinng I want to add to our Pearson Sailing Association website!

Frayed Knot:
This is Great...  Can't wait for Phase 2.  I am sure everyone has a lot of favorite pictures they want to share.  Good job again.  Dick

Captain Bri:
Any forum user who is logged in can now create an "album" and upload photos to it on the Gallery page.

Navigate to the Gallery from the Forum Menu, and vice versa.

The process to add a photo:

* Sign in to forum (if not already signed in)
* Navigate to the Gallery
* Select "Upload files" from gallery menu
* Select an album from the "Select Album" drop down menu
* Select "browse" button to find the image/photo to be uploaded
* Upload will proceed and you will see the thumbnail photo when it is complete
To add an album send a request to webmaster@pearson323.com
