Paint bottom
« on: October 02, 2012, 11:36:49 AM »
The bottom of my Wind & Spirit is painted each spring.  In the Chicago yacht yards that is how it is done.  Is there any reason the bottom should not be painted in the fall?

Hello RH,
I have been told by a yard up north on Lake MI that the paint makers warranty only is valid if the boat goes in the water within 30 days of paint date.  There is no known issue in painting in fall and launching in spring with the exception that the weather beats on it in our snow country along with the chemical rains in Chicago..
