Where is everybody?
Weatherhelm:
This is what I did last weekend. :-\ This was my first season on Barefoot. I am really happy with the boat. I am impressed at how many complements I get. (on the boat not my sailing) one guy at the marina keeps saying how "salty" it is. Started out in Superior WI but have now moved to a small marina in Bayfield (roys point) right in the midst of the beautyfull apostile Islands on lake superior.
unsalted sailing! but what a short season I had to pull early because of some work commitment but everyone is coming out this month. must be that song about the "gales of November"
if your interisted I have a photo site with some shots from this summer

Sorry for the hijack, but rkfitz asked!
Max-prop update: Subjectively, the improvement in speed under sail is around 0.75-1 knot, similar to what other sailors said I should expect.
The improvement in pointing also appears to be dramatic; I think the drag of the fixed 3-blade prop was resulting in more leeway (given our shorter keel).
A few days ago, 10-15 knot wind, beam reach, we were at about 7 knots. With the old prop, I would have been around 6.
Early days, but looks promising.

Thanks for the update!
