Brian, i cant find the link on the boat registry page you mention. seems like a great way to get more of the group to sign up to the map. maybe i'm just not looking in the right place for the link. thanks, Mark

Follow from the main menu navigation area and see the link near the middle of the boat registry page:  Boat Registry > Pearson 323 Owners Map > Google maps.  I no longer have permission to access the google map -- apparently some security has been implemented, which is good. How does one go about getting permission set up?

one interesting question/note for all of us. i guess that i used my gmail acct when i set up the site. now that its been made private, i'm getting a lot of requests for access to the site on my gmail. I dont recognize the email names so, i think i'm going to wait to add these requested emails until i get specific requests that identify who the request is from.

So, in answer to the previous post, i just checked the settings on the map and the map has been made private, only available to approved email addresses.
i can change it back to open to all, but i think there is some concern out there that letting the world have access to the map (and those who have located themselves on it) is not a healthy thing.
i can see the point there.
so, i'm pretty sure all i need to do is add your email address to the list and you'll have full access. just let me know what email address to use (please identify yourself beyond email address so i know who's who. .
