New mast step

My boat Surveyor recommended I swap mine out over the next haul or two. I believe it's the original 1978!

My suggestion is that you and your machinist friend there start fabricating these for sale to the rest of the group, thereby earning $$ for boat upgrades!

Guy's, Guy's   Put an aluminum BLOCK witch makes the mast step higher up about 3-4 inches, then install the mast step that's now out of the bilge water.  Now your mast won't corrode and not to say..last longer  Capt Rob

Capt Rob's suggestion does not take into account galvanic corrosion so it isn't recommended.

Here's a photo of the almost 10 year old step.

It is the same as when it was installed.
