Three answer question.  Is the fiddle block with cam with a working load of 1,212 lbs and 3,637 breaking load, OK for the main sheets?  Is a 1/2" line for this application OK for feel and size?  Also how much line do I need to have?  I have changed all of the running rigging but this was missing on the boat..  Thanks

So this is what I used.  90' of Samson MLX 3/8" line.   Harkin 57 mm Carbo Triple, Harkin 57 mm Carbo Ratchet Block w/cam, Becket,  Harkin midrange stand up spring,  I spliced the end myself total cost is as follows...
90' Samson Ropes - MLX 3/8"                            $   1.97          $177.30

To add to what I used for the main sheets.  I have 200 NM on the boat since I have put the sheets on and I would like to say  ( I love it ).  Easy to pull, easy for women that want to be a part of the whole thing and  it just feels good.  I can't wait for my wife to try it...

Thanks for the update. This is very interesting; I have the original mainsheet setup which had a double block at the top, not a triple.  I am on the fence about upgrading it, sometimes it takes two of us to get it really tight.  Did you use the original traveller car at the base?

Just for fun, I used Regatta braid (1/2 as I recall) when I replaced my mainsheet. More flexible, easier on the hands.

I did use the stock car on the traveller, but I did put the stand up spring under it.  It is so easy.  I am going up tonight to hang my dinghy and I try to remember to take some pictures.
