Repainting the cabin stripe
« on: February 14, 2013, 10:11:59 AM »
Has anyone repainted the stripe on the side of the cabin? Is a one part paint such as Interlux Brightside ok to use or do I need a two part paint?
I would think that being built in '78' the one side paint would be fine but not sure. I would appreciate any feed back.

I am curious if you moved forward with painting the stripe and how it worked out.

Thanks,

Alma

I rolled and tipped mine 17 years ago and it still looks good. Two coats Interlux. I also blended two colors- a gray and black to make a darker bandit stripe.

I also roll and tipped mine about 15 years ago. I used 3 coats of  an Interlux 2 party epoxy paint, I did it dark blue the same as the waterline. It still looks good.
