Mast Step

<< < (2/3) > >>

Dolce_Vita:
I've been trolling the web, and here's the collection of replacement mast step pictures I've come up with:
(the first two were by the now-defunct Metalmast)

Dolce_Vita:
One more (from Briar Patch).  Note the isolation block between the mast and the step.

Dulcinea:
Got my mast step out today. It definitely looks like the metal mast steps in the pics above. One bolt came out whole with help from a Craftsman bolt extractor. Had to cut the heads off the other three.
There's very little room to work down there.  Also cut two inches off the mast where it was corroded and sending the whole shebang to MetalMast this week. Installation in the spring

Having that mast just laying there on saw horses brings up a number of projects. Replacing the wiring and getting new lights. .....and the beat goes on.....

Dolce_Vita:
You found a current address for Metalmast??  I thought they went out of business a number of years ago when a fire damaged the building they were in.

Dulcinea:
I believe they are now RigRite out of Rhode Island. Maybe they bought the MM inventory.
