28-2 electric bilge pump

Has anybody had success installing an electric bilge pump on their 28-2? If so, what model did you use and did you install in the forward bilge? It’s such a smallish space but I’d feel better with an auto bilge.

I have a 31-2, but doubt the bilge is much different. Mine is installed mid cabin, not in the small front bilge where the depth/speed/temp sender is as that appears to be my lowest bilge point. The original was like all the others, but with the very shallow bilge of the Pearson's, it couldn't get the last 2 to 3 inches of water. So I found a Whale Supersub Automatic Low Profile Bilge Pump that draws right down into the last inch of water and it works great when needed. At the time I had a leak from my exhaust hose at the stern (took 2 years to figure that one and fix it) and had to drain my bilge each morning to be able to sail and avoid water into the cabin sole, so that's how I know it worked so well
Good luck!
