Title: Auto Pilot
Post by: Frayed Knot on March 31, 2014, 08:28:44 PM
I have an old Navico Auto Pilot YP500 that does not work.  The led's flashes 7 times which in trouble codes said it's the Compass or the Course computer.  My question is there an fluxgate compass made by someone else that would work?  Mine has 3 wires.  Or does anyone know about this Autopilot or should I just start saving for a whole new unit.  It is a below deck unit.   ****  Since I posted this I have purchased A new Course Computer, so all I am looking for is the fluxgate compass...

Since the last post I found that a Simrad AP12 or Simrad AP14 has the same Fluxgate compass as the Navico.  So if any one knows where one is please let me know... Thanks, Dick

GHP 12 #010-00705-15, class B compact drive # 010-12029-00, remote #010-11146-20,  I love the unit, plug and play. had to build a base for the drive and the drive is probably over kill.  I believe the class A would work just fine #010-11572-00.
